william liang

I’m a high school student and freelance writer living in the San Francisco Bay Area. Not to be confused with William Liang the super talented photojournalist. I have a strong interest in electoral politics and the new left. Currently, I’m a political columnist for The Hill and a founding editor at Vantage, a student-led political magazine.

My writing has appeared in The Los Angeles Times, The Daily Wire, The Nation, UnHerd, Jacobin, and elsewhere.

Outside of my schoolwork and writing, I’m a student researcher at Yale University, working on improving AI reasoning in legal and policy spaces. I’m also a violinist with the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra.

I tweet from @williamliang, and you can contact me at this email address.
